I want to share new speaker options from KICKER that my shop just got in. The first picture is of the KM6204W, it’s identical to the KM6200 and also available with charcoal grills. The new white grills will look great with a white color scheme! They are also offering the KM-10 10” sub with a white grill to match the in-boats

The new KM6LC is similar to the KM6130, but has back-lit LED shown here. It’s also available with the white grill and only a blue LED option at this time. The lighting effect is Amazing!

Time for some off season upgrades.

Here is more info sent to me about the new amps, the key two features for marine installation are the uber-efficient boost converter Class D design, and the VARIABLE sub-sonic filter.

  • Conformal Coated Circuit Boards
  • ABYC Compliant Power Terminals
  • FIT Lab Grade balanced differential inputs
    • Best possible noise rejection
    • High and low level input capability
    • Buffers to each differential input allows for all source unit output imbalances
    • F.I.T. accepts output from virtually any source… factory or aftermarket
    • Switch selected 12V Remote turn-on, DC Offset or Signal sense
      • If using DC offset or Signal sense turn-on, trigger connection on amp becomes an output trigger
  • Analog control of DSP processing
    • Classic round knobs for control settings
  • Sealed potentiometers
    • For reliability and long life
  • Custom tooled power connectors (11 degree angle)
  • Smaller mounting footprint
  • Great new styling!
  • Glass fiber composite end panels
  • High mass heat sink… 20% more than the competition
  • UV protected heat sink finish
  • Double-sided fiberglass circuit boards
  • Surface mount technology
  • High power density/optimized circuit layout
  • Class D – IC technology on KXM400.4, KXM400.2 and KX800.5
    • Newest generation compact Class D
    • Amplifier and drivers are combined in a single chip providing high efficiency and very small size
  • Bandpass capability on multi-channel amps
  • Buffered RCA outputs on bass amps
    • Compatible with all amplifiers
  • High performance Litz wound transformers
    • This winding pattern equalizes the proportion of the overall length over which each wire strand is at the outside of the conductor minimizing any possible losses
  • Caps and coils are glued to circuit board for strength and vibration isolation
  • Board layout designed for optimum audio performance
  • Three second turn-on delay prevents noises
  • Low operating voltage LED flashes if system voltage drops to 10.5V or less
  • Auto-reset protection
    • Amp does not have to be re-set by turning system off

All of those amp specs...where are the power specs?

See attached sent to me:

Since it is Class D, instead of Class A/B, the power at 4-ohms is closer to half the 2-ohm power rating. So:

800.5 is 100 x 4 plus 400 x 1, all channels driven at 2-ohms

At 4-ohms it will be 50 – 65 x 4 and 200 x 1, same for the other two amps.
