07 vlx additional cover to go over tower when upright

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has go down the path of using a cover whilst in the elements to cover the boat with the tower in the upright position.

I have to keep my VLX outside whilst some work goes on in my shed. hoping to find out if anyone has a low cost solution to cover it whilst it sits outside for a few weeks.

I've enquired at the local canvas shop but $3,000 and a wait time of 4 weeks is not going to cut it. I was thinking of a caravan cover to go over my existing towing cover with some longer straps sewn into it to tie under the trailer.

I haven't had much luck in coming across anyone who has done it before, so I'd be glad to hear if something like my plan would work.

any help appreciated

Made out of aqualon, which is supposed to be better than sunbrella. It has sat outside at the dealer's for 2 weeks and all the other boat covers have water pooling and ours is dry as a bone inside with no pooling at all.
