vtx verses txi?

I'm back in a VTX after a series of slalom tractors. We love the layout, love the space and like the wakes for all purposes. Our opinion is that the VTX is the best all rounder on the market and we've tried them all. Every boat will have characteristics which will make it better in one or two areas, but if you have to have one boat and want to do it all, then it's the VTX.

I did the opposite- I know I love to ski but my kids are just figuring out what they like. I'll add ballast and wedge to my ski boat rather than compromise on the ski. That being said-I did compromise for extra room and get a sunsetter instead of a response.

My VTX ski's better than my Sunsetter did. I've owned an Echelon, Sunsetter Lxi, and now the VTX. The Echelon and the VTX are very comparable wakes, but the Echelon was easier to hold a straight line as a driver. The Sunsetter, had a good wake, a bit softer than the Echelon, but bigger. The VTX has a bit smaller wake than the Sunsetter, and I enjoy skiing behind it more than behind the Sunsetter. Now, being able to ballast it, and surf - that's just icing.
