Barefoot behind Response TXI

At this moment I have a Response 409 Hp with a RS barefoot plate and the wake is good for barefoot slalom.

In the future we like a open bow with a G3 Tower only we like to know how the wake is for barefoot?

Maybe the 409 Hp or even the 450 Hp and a RS Barefoot plate.

If you have any experience with a TXI please let me know.

Last week of April we will be in Winter Haven Florida maybe if someone in that area has a Response TXI I can look at the wake.

Enrico, I have not seen any barefoot feedback on the TXI, I would do a search on this site for comments as when it first came out there were some posts on the TXI wake, mainly for slalom. It is an excellent slalom ski boat, Malibu improved the long line wake significantly, so that might be a hint that the wake back at barefoot lengths might also be slightly different compared to the LXI. You might call Malibu, someone there might be able to provide some insight on the design philosophy (one key was to target the long line skier).

Just as Woodski mentioned, the TXi has an excellent ski wake. Malibu took the LXi and redisgned the hull with a more wetted hull surface, therfore flatting out the wake even more. They brought the TXi out in 2012, and in there brochures they mention that the "T" stands for TOURNAMENT. Thats Malibu R&D for you! Always striving to improve. :)

I'm assuming that when you speek of a RS Barfoot Plate your referring to the Malibu Scarpa Plate?

I wished I could comment from personal experiance, but I just bought my TXi last Oct. And I'm hoping for the first dip in the water by the end of March when the weather starts to improve. Then we can put her through the paces.
