changing prop pitch

Anyone re pitched their prop? did this on my 23 foot enzo stock prop and made a huge difference when heavy. Now have a 23lsv with monsoon 350 and high altitude prop but thinking of pitching the prop down even further because will be running a lot of weight. Don't care about losing top end speed. Not sure how this will work with the acme 1235.

I called the folks at Acme and they spent a lot of time consulting with me about my boat and how I use it. Very worthwhile call...the engineer I spoke with does the actual testing of each prop they sell and development props too.

My prop guy will change pitch by up to 2 degrees only. I haven't done it on my spare prop yet, but I've been meaning to. My normal prop is a smaller pitch and I'd like my spare to perform as well.

There is a strong market for used 1235 props. You would likely spend equal or less money just selling your 1235 and buying a more aggressive prop directly from Acme. By doing that, you are ensuring the exact performance you want, know it will be 100% balanced, etc.
