Graphics installation

I just bought the new graphics for our boat, but am having a hard time deciding what to do about the installation. The place I bought them from offered to install them for $90.00. I don't think that is a bad price, but I also don't know how easy it is to install them yourself. Does anyone have a clue as to whether or not the 90.00 is worth it to just have someone else do it or is it easy enough that my husband and I can do it ourselves? Any advise would be great!

Thanks in advance!

If you were closer I'd do it for a steak and a couple beers, take your time and its not difficult.

Welcome to the site, we can always use more DFW area members.

It's really not that hard if you take your time. Use a little dish soap in a spray bottle to wet the area and put the decal down. Then push out all the water & air from underneath it and your good to go.

Make sure if it's a different decal that you don't have some sun fade on the hull. If you do the old decal will leave a "ghost" image inder it where it is not faded.

What graphics did you get? If you don't mind me asking?

I got the Malibu red, white, and blue tribal. It is from back in 03 I think, but I really liked it. Our boat is red and white and I think it will look sweet!

Ronnie:

How long do we have to wait until we can put the boat back in the water? Also, the boat did not have any graphics before so I am nervous about were to put them. How do you recomend we figure out where to place the graphics?

Thanks again!

Hey DMG AKA Heather,

I used to install graphics as a part time job... It won't take to long and I have a shop to do it in. Let me know and we'll hook up on the weekend or something.

Glad we could help last weekend, boat looks great!!

Lunch sounds great... I'll check with the boss tonight and let you know tomorrow about this weekend. I'm sure it will be fine.
