Theres a way for everything...I cant help you with this specific situation but my suv dealer also told me that I couldnt change the startup screen on my navigation/video screen in my car. That took about 5min after researching. Hell I even replaced the generic 2d red car with an actual top-view pic of my suv.

I enjoy proving sales people wrong

That would be really cool!!!

I have Microsoft Sync in my F150 Platinum, which has the ability to download pictures to the dash display. Really neat! So I cant see why; with technology the way it is, this couldnt be done. Malibu should approach Viper, the software developer for Maliview and have them integrate this option via the USB port. I'll front this question to my Dealer tomorrow when I see him at the Vancouver Boat Show.

You just need someone willing to pull their Maliview and crack it open. I'm sure there a flash based something in there with the images used.....replace with you own image of the same type, size, and aspect ratio and Boo ya!

As a software developer I can guarantee you it's possible. You may not like how it will need to be done though. If the software wasn't created with the intention of having it changeable, you will have your work cutout for you. If you could get a dump of the program - you'd be in a lot better shape for being able to futz with it. If someone had the "code" for it I wouldn't mind taking a look at it and seeing if it's readily apparent in how to go about it, but I'm not going to bit comb for ya - unless you want to pay me a large sum :D
