We bought a harpoon amp a couple months ago and never took it out of the box or used it, the dealer went to install it today and said it won't power up!!!! Why is that? The guy that sold it to me at earmark said that he took it out of the box but never used it.

Send me a PM and we'll exchange numbers. I'm eager to help any way I can. If your dealer/installer doesn't mind the help then I will speak directly to him. In any case, there is a simple resolution.

Sounds like your installer was looking for a way to get a little more business out of you by telling you the amp was DOA....seen it before

So what ended up being wrong with it?

Glad you got it resolved so quickly

Well he has hooked up many an amp, it's a dealer. He said there was good ground, the remote wire was hooked up and everything but it wouldn't turn on. We are going to send it to exile and they are going to fix or replace it.

Sorry, I wasn't available to you earlier today. I really wish I had gotten involved with the diagnosis. DOAs are possible but very rare.

Understand that there is a difference in everything being wired and actually measuring the correct voltage with a meter.

If the amplifier is returned with "No Problem Found" then definitely get back with me.

Alright! Everything is good! The amp was defective but Exile came through and hooked us up with a new one! Amazing customer service, they really take care of you, stand behind their product, now we will test the sound next week! Brian was great to deal with.

Exact same thing happened to me this summer with a Harpoon. Brian and Exile were excellent to deal with and got me running as quick as they could. Great customer service. Can't wait to get my second pair of XM9s from them in the next month or two!
