Which Hellroaring Model?

Thanks!

I just gave them a call and Mike recommended the BIC-95150B.

Since I already have a Perko switch installed Mike suggested that I just connect the the isolator to the switch using 8 gauge wire and 80 amp fuses. The one thing that I didn't understand was... He said that the connection between the main battery side of the switch and the isolator could be a short run. He said that the connection between the aux battery side of the switch and the isolator should be around 15 feet. Even though I don't need but a couple to make the connection. The length does something to help in the voltage regulation.

Does this make any since? And, did anyone else do this?

If this is to prevent battery drawdown from the power wedge, I spoke to my dealer this morning and he said that malibu already has a fix out. You may want to look into that since it will be a factory warranty issue. Then it will be the malibu way. Yahoo.gifYahoo.gifYahoo.gif

This has nothing to do with that issue.

Thanks!

I think it has something to do with the resistance of the cable. There needs to be some resistance so that there is a voltage drop. The Isolator cannot measure the voltage of the Aux battery unless there is a voltage drop. It is an Electrical Engineering thing. Biggrin.gif

We collectively looked at battery isolators about six months ago...

There is another option that may not require a big bundle of cable.

It was an automatic charging relay made by Blue Sea

You might want to talk to them and ask them if their unit would need 15 foot of cable. I don't think anyone has asked that question before.

Thanks! I'll check them out.
