Recommended Posts

Michigan boarder

has anyone heard about or used this?

I heard about it like 2 hours ago on Smoothwater's Facebook page. Seems simple. Also seems like for $40 you could fab your own.

that is also where i heard about it. I would be curious how well the locking mechanism holds up after you rachet it up.

take a look at rope ratchet. to cobble a D ring on the cover shouldn't take much talent.

we order w/o the hooks and just tie line to attach.

we use these to hang the balls on the slalom course.

hold up well.

Cory at Evolution has been sewing a D-ring into the top of his covers for a while now...... although he doesn't have a cute name for it.

Not sure if he does them all or only on request but I've seen a few of them.

It's a great idea. I think I'll have a D-ring sewed into the top of my Rankin cover when I have a couple of repairs done to it this winter.

Yep, puts a loop that's located directly below the tower pylon. I use a bungee cord instead of a ratchet device.

My dealer put this on my cover, to try and stop the water from puddling. It kinda works. I'm not real happy with it. I have a VLX and when the boat is on the trailer it is hard to pull it tight, the boat is too wide. I am looking at a different cover to keep the water off

Cory from evolution put it on my cover for $ free. And the bungee cost me $2. $40? Wow!

I sowed loops into an old cover a few years back and used a bungee cord from the loop to the tower. It held the cover up in the area nicely. The problem was the water pooled about 2 feet behind that. If you don't raise the cover right where the water will pool then it does no good. My solution? I bought an Evolution cover and been happy ever since.
