Samson and Exile? Are they the same?

Recommended Posts

I am doing my research on speakers and have read many of the posts (and some bashing) of the three most popular tower speaker brands (based on reading). Wetsounds and Exile appear to be the most popular on this particular forum. The third (which I do not hear about much on this forum) is Samson tower speakers. Reading on the Samson site, they advise a Harpoon amp to drive them. They look almost identical in appearance to the Exile setups. Can anyone give me some insight on this. Is the Samson stuff built by Exile? Is Exile built by Samson? The similarity's including the detachable clamps are also similar. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

I would go straight to the manufacturers involved and ask them the identical questions.

Simply put, yes. Samson needed a speaker and exile needed a bracket.

Call Scott at Samson. He is good people. I've heard good things about Brain at Exile, but never met him.

I thought that I had read the bracket and speaker piece in another post/article. I like to help the local business guy/girl out when I can. When I make my decision I try to use this as part of the decision maker. That is the reason that I ask. Thanks for the information.
