Hi Guys,


I'm going to be buying my first Malibu Wakestter VLX very shortly. It's going to be 1 or 2 model years old, can anyone tell me specifics I should be looking for when going to test drive it?

Take it to a Malibu dealer and have them inspect it, they will also do an engine compression test which will help identify any major issues you cant see with the naked eye.

There is also a great article in the resource page of this site - "buying a used boat".

When I purchased my boat, I took my time and tried to explore every inch of the boat before we put it in the water. I also had a friend of mine (who has owned Malibu Boats for years) come with me.

I have a 2006 VLX for sale on this site for $37900 (330 hours)
