Trakker video mount replacement?

automated pan for the video camera is long overdue.

playing w tracker while changing line length is a pia.

this unit is $500'ish but that isn't over the top considering the price of the trakker.

one current potential draw-back is the "40 degrees per second" limitation.

that has to be pretty close to the target but i'm not sure that is going to be fast enough.

perhaps the next generation will half the cost and double the pan rate?

it's pretty close to being functional now.

I saw a video they have on their website and the tracking of a surfer was jerky... and the video of someone wakeboarding was taken manually from the boat and using the camera mount from shore... I dont think it will be fast enough to be used onboard...

I just got a Datstar tube mount to attach to my Comptech Release. I'll see how it works in a week or so.
