i bought my boat late in the season last summer and spent most of the rest of the season working the bugs out. thats the joys of buying a used boat i guess. the whole point of this post is to see who is ready for the 2013 season i know im ready to get some air behind my boat.

I totally hear that! I too bought mine towards the end of the summer and am still working the bugs out. Thank God it's still warm enough in Houston to get on the water. Hopefully we will go out this coming weekend.

As much as I would love summer to be here, I wish for a wet wet wet winter and spring. I have high hopes for my new boat purchase early this spring, however, if we don't get rain I likely won't be able to get my boat on a lake. Both lakes I go to are down to one ramp available because of low water, but if we don't get any rain those will be gone by spring!

Does summer ever really ever end here in so cal? I figure it just takes a vacation here and there, gives the boat some r & r and gives the snowboard a chance to come out. Although I plan on doing the annual snow/wake day, start on the mountain for a few hours, then head down and hit the water.

the only hope i have at hitting the water at the moment is if i get a dry suit for christmas haha. i do hope for a good snow pack this year because the lake was very low at the end of this last summer.

Just got my boat serviced and bought a new wakeboard and bindings at EWTS at Active Water Sports. Waiting for the sun to come out some weekend so I can throw on my dry suit and go boarding for a while. Wearing a dry suit is like going snow boarding. Its a bit bulky and limiting to your movements but worth it to be on the water. Summers a long way off and I cant wait that long.

I would like to do that - snow/wake day but lining up a good day here that I could do both will be tough. I will just be happy if I can get out once in December. I am trying to decide what my low range air temperature tolerance will be. I am hedging towards 45 degrees minimum. Water temp doesn't matter too much as it won't get all that cold and I will have a dry suit on.

My low air temp threshold is 55 degrees or so. Warm enough that once in the boat, I can warm up.

More importantly, it better be calm. I figure that if I freeze my kahunas off, it better be near butter.

Gotta love So-Cal, a few friends and I are planning a surf, wake, wakesurf, snowboard day. Very few places can this be accomplished and just to make it that much more ironic we are planning it for the shortest day of the year (Dec. 21)

You can have some of ours. Feels like it hasn't stopped raining since it started on October 1st.
