New Dry Suit found!

i've used bi drysuits for a decade and 40°F water temperature isn't a struggle IF you have a nice warm boat, with a shower, to crawl back into.

we tend to ski as long as the lake isn't frozen. air temp has an effect but it's not a good reason to pull the plug on sets.

realize we don't foil or wakeboard.

a slalom set (6 passes without drop-ins) or a mile barefoot run is not a push.

hands and feet will be on the uncomfortable side but that shower is a cure-all.

foiling and wakeboarding at 40°F; i'm going to guess that you get cold before you get worn out unless you are aggressive.

again, this is a wag and assumes that i'm working harder pulling six buoys than the average dark-side rides.

i could be all wet with that assumption; just offering a single point calibration.

How well do dry suits work? What air and water temp can you really wakeboard in one and still be comfortable?

We look for 50 degree air minimum and soft water, full sun, no wind. Dock starts, System bindings, full wetsuits like the O'Neal Psychofreak, Toaster mittens, Mystery beanie and Hydroskin wet socks from NRS.

That Pro Motion piece looks interesting.

and what tvano said, a shower makes a huge difference. I personally stop slaloming at these temps because 32mph is a lot too cold.

I use a drysuit to wakeboard and surf. Mine has booties attached so I wear socks and sweats under the dry suit. I also have a neoprene hat that looks stupid but keeps my head warm. I also found some neoprene gloves that work ok. Its a lot to put on but I stay warm enough here in Oregon. My drysuit is by OS Systems in Scapposse Oregon. All together it is bulky but it lets me board year around.

I have used a neoprene hood but the gloves and boots don't work for a skier. My bindings wont fit boots and gloves need to be very tight and not stretch. I have used surgical gloves under my ski gloves it helps but not warm. I was in in the lake in early Nov. but it was brutal. I am now looking for an early spring!
