Great looking restoration. Now if you can get as many hours on the water as you put in restoring it, the happiness will be ten fold. Great job. Thanks for the progress reports it made the winter go by a little quicker.

Is anyone else a little disappointed? I need something else to look forward to. I would wait with anticipation Boz. I guess I can fill that void with the R/C boat build...

Really though...this restore thread is amazing. I am incredibly impressed. And thank you for providing so much knowledge.

Time to hit the water.......I'm sure ur more than ready. Well done!

Thanks to all for the compliments. Yes we are ready to hit the water. No water available now as local and regional lakes are down too low to launch. Not unusual, just need a wet April and May and we will be good.

You're original post inspired me to start my rebuild. I hadn't seen the latest pictures. Looks awesome, I wish I would have seen that false wall for the amplifiers. I mounted my amps in the same place but all the wires run along the wall. Winter project!

Hey Boz, great job! I saw this a while back and it got me thinking about my impending carpet replacement. I have a 2001 23 LSV and was wondering how you did the flooring carpet up by the bow seating under the center removable cushion? Does that tuck under the front seat fiberglass base or is that a razor cut along the gelcoat edge? I have the front built-in coolers so I don't have access to pull the bow seating easily. Just wondering how you did the install up front. I haven't gotten into any tear down really yet, just a whole lot of mulling in my head. Thanks.

I had professional help on the carpet install, but to answer the question, after cutting the carpet out around the seat base in the bow, there was enough room to tuck the new carpet in under the seat base. The end result was old carpet or ozite under the seats and new carpet in the bow area where one would walk, stand, or crawl.

Here's another 3 year old bump to show this work off to some of the newer people on the site.  Absolutely incredible and will provide a ton of assistance to me.

Just re-read the whole thing stem to stern. This is a true BuCrew classic. Sadly there is no more Chee though. Would love to redo my trunk and seats.
