I have tried turning off the shallow depth alarm as I moore my boat in a shallow inlet but the shallow depth alarm keeps coming on even after I have turned it to off and turned the engine off to re set the depth gauge. Any ideas how I can keep the alarm off permantly.?

We keep our boat on a lift in a channel that is rather shallow too, and used to be bothered by the same depth alarm. Some time ago, I stumbled across the instructions on this site for setting the alarm threshold (depth at which the alarm is triggered). I set it to zero, and since doing so have not been been bothered by the alarm. I'll have to poke around a bit to find those instructions again...

edit: found it...

May do this to my boat too, I have the same problem with depth alarm sometimes when the water gets pine pollen in it in the spring.
