Congrats! You are going to love the TXI. I got most of the same options you ordered (no shower or wedge) and have been very happy with the boat. I didn't get maliview on mine because there isn't nearly as much function with it if you don't have ballast, auto wedge, etc. I assume you didn't get maliview as well?

Sure, power wedge is "better". It allows more customization and you don't have to get your arm wet. If, however, you're just a slalom skier and are just getting it at the dealer's rec (most will rec because installation after the fact is time consuming), the manual is fine and will save you some buoy money.

Is a power wedge complicated to remove; i.e. if you wanted to just leave the wedge plate in place in the case of the boat being a dedicated slalom tractor (but wedge was ordered for resale value reasons...)

certainly more so than a manual wedge, yep. That's why I'm thinking this was a dealer rec and not necessarily because kenny plans on using it but that's why I asked him. IF Kenny doesn't plan to use the wedge, I'd rec just getting the manual plate.
