Kind of makes today's boat's look a little over-the-top. Those folks look to be having just as much as fun, but making do with a lot less.

I remember "aqua-planing" (rope tied to half of a sheet of plywood) as a kid behind my grandfather's wooden 19foot with 40hp outboard. That was about 1975. Seemed like a whole lotta fun.
