Cost of new carpet and vinyl

I had a 2001 Sunsetter LXI looked at today by a third party. Mechanically the boat is great but the carpet and interior is rough. What's the going price to replace carpet and vinyl. A local used boat dealer said it would be $5000!

I had a route of almost $2,000 just for Upholstry in my old LXI. Don't know about carpet, but I bet it is probably more due to the pain I bet it is to pull out and remove the old glue.

If I were in your shoes I would order a set of skins from Chee at Malibu. Last time I checked it was about 1800 for a full set of Malibu Skins. I would anticipate spending another 1000 to have them professionally installed.

So, budget 3k for new vinyl. Carpet should not be more than 750 to 1,000 tops.

Chee is the way to go. I had a quote from a local shop of $3500 just for the vinyl for my Skier, not inculding the carpet. I got a complete set of skins from Chee for much less. My Skier is a closed bow so no front seats though.
