Motorbox Insulation Question

I know it's on here but I can't seem to find it. When insulating the motorbox do you completely cover the cup holder frame & vent? The pictures look like you do, but I just want to be certain before I start. I seems to me there was a discussion on possible over heating? Thanks!

I covered the cup holder frame, but left opening for the vent....never had any problem. Maybe it is a bit noiser in the back seat...but I don't care...and my back seat is rarely in anyway. That mod is great bang for the buck!!

I'm not sure if the discussion you reference was on the "insulating motorbox" thread or not...you might try doing a search on "vapor lock".

I have a factory insulated motor box. The cup holder frame is insulated but the vent was left open.

I would strongly recommend leaving the vent uncovered. Anything to still allow air to circulate and minimize the buildup of vapors is a good strategy. Added insurance to the blower.
