Rear locker shock keeps detaching . Suggestions

The screws that hold the shock to my rear locker keep coming out. Anyone else had this problem? What length screws are suggested. I don't want the screw to poke through the cushion

Some one on here had that problem this past summer. They posted a solution of a small square of Aluminum that was screwed into the lid of the locker and then the shock mount was screwed into the Aluminum. Maybe someone will see this post and remember who it was.

I had this problem what I did was take the plastic anchor for a drywall screw and (drill the hole out real carefully) then push the plastic piece in and put the screw back in works great and you can't see it. the best part is the plastic want rust. Example

I remember what ronnie is talking about, I think they custom fabbed a new plate that was bigger and allowed more screw holes IIRC. I might be mistaken. Didn't try searching for the original no time ATM.

If you can tighten the screws then the holes may not be too stripped. A quick and easy thing to try may be a serrated or spring washer under the screw head - just in case it is only vibration causing the screws to come loose. Any hardware store will stock them - make sure you get stainless steel ones though or they will rust. Total cost will be a few cents - maybe worth a try. If you still have no luck then try the suggestions above :)

I had the same problem, turned out the previous owner changed the shock and did not put the right one back. It had too much pressure and eventually pulled the screws out. Bought a new one from Bakes and has been just fine since.
