Surf board scratches

I was wondering if anyone has found a solution to keeping the back of the boat from getting scratches from new surfers. I am thinking some sort of adhesive pads, but wanted to see if anyone else has ran into this?

That would be great and I would order it but it doesnt cover the outside edges where most of my scratches happen

get yourself some of the 3M clear coating they put on the front of cars...the clear stuff that replaced having a bra on your car...easy to put on, does not yellow and takes a licking and keeps on ticking

I used a sheet of this stuff and cut it around the emblem. Here is a (admittedly not great!) picture:
