Rebuilt prop

Messed up my prop the other day. I was pulling the boat off the trailer and forced it off with too much gas. Got a little sideways on the trailer while in reverse and bam!! 4 blade acme 1235 mangled pretty good. All four blades bent and chunks missing from blades. Took it to a repair shop and they "patched it up fixed it". They say it will be good as new. Anyone using a refurbished prop and is there a difference?

The remanufactured parts or tips of the blades are noticeable because they are smooth and don't have the little grooves like acme. I'm hoping it will be ok. Might turn into my spare prop if not.

If its a good prop shop, it will be fine. Other than the cosmetics you won't be able to tell the difference.

The prop shop balanced it so the fact it's smooth without the cnc marks doesn't matter.

But yes, if the way it looks bugs you, the rebuilt one could be the perfect spare prop.
