Loose skeg on 03 lsv

I noticed I was taking on water today, after I quickly got the boat out of the water I noticed my front skeg was hanging by one bolt. After further inspection it appears the front bolt back out or was ripped off. There doesn't appear to be any damage to the skeg or fiberglass so I don't think I hit anything. I am confused what happened I was wondering if anyone has seen this before. Also if any one has removed the fuel tank on a LSV 23 i have the 8.1L i'm not sure if it came with a larger fuel tank than normal I looked at how much work it is going to be to get it out and it doesn't look fun. Thanks for any help.

I have an '02 LSV with a 5.7L with a 50 gallon tank and have lost a skeg from hitting a floating log. You have to empty the tank and remove the back section of the seating to take the tank out. Not hard but tedious. Worst part is that the next year I lost the skeg again. That time I just glassed over the holes from under the boat and I haven't replaced the front skeg yet. I'm going put up a post asking if anyone has switched to an externally fastened skeg like all the other brands do. As you found out, water comes in pretty fast from those holes. Good luck.
