Radar Theory

MALI-MONSTER

Quick question.

I am a novice slalom skier working on the basics at 30-32 mph and 15 off. I have hopes of getting into the course in the future. I have an average atheletic build of about 190 lbs and 6'2". I picked up a Radar Theory and used the sizing chart to determine that I needed a 69". Since then, I have read many recommendations online to downsize the Theory. Should I have gotten the 67"? The 69" seems big and slow now. Is that just in my head?

Pheeewww ... I was beginning to think that no one was out there. Thanks for the response!

I think that the 69 Theory is ultimately the correct size for me. It is a very stable base to work on fundamentals on, and that is what I need. If I progress next year, I may look to upgrade to a Senate or similar ski.

I don't get a chance to ski a whole lot. I have two small kids, and finding good water/weather, a sitter for the two year old, and a capable driver/observer doesn't happen as much as it should. For the most part I either ski on a small lake right by my house in Holly or on Big Lake in Davisburg. Where in the Howell area do you ski?

Nope. I haven't made it into the course yet this year. If the weather holds out for a bit longer for us Michiganders I would love to get out a couple more times. If so, I may give the course a try.
