Replacing bearings in Ski Pylon

Recommended Posts

Has anyone replaced the bearings in the swivel head of the ski pylon? I assume there are bearings inside. :dontknow: I doubt it would be a bushing.

I plan to do this over winter. I haven't taken anything apart yet but I'm thinking it can't be too difficult.

Good luck getting the bearings out. They are press fit in there good, especially if they are rusted at all.

My Pylon wouldn't swivel at all. Pulled it apart, cleaned it out with carb cleaner, and re-greased. It turns a lot better now, but I'll probably pull it again over the winter and just soak it in carb cleaner and trying to get the bearings restored without actually removing them. It spins good enough now that I'm not going through much additional work and refuse to put any money into it.

I did the same. No need to replace bearings
