Need little plastic piece for throttle

Okay, well I have tried everywhere and have had no luck finding what I need and am looking for advice.

The little piece on the top of the throttle that you push in to allow you to shift out of neutral. (See picture below.)

I am having a very difficult time getting anyone that would sell me just that piece. They are all telling me that I need to buy an entire new throttle. Any of yall out there have any thoughts.

Oh - It is on an 08 VTX

I have one of those throttle units laying around, but I have no idea where you would get just the button. If you want the whole unit let me know. I'm sure I can let mine go a lot cheaper than a dealer!!
