Holy Sub-Box Batman

I purchased a 2002 VLX about 3 months ago and have been playing with surfing. In each rear ski locker there were large black boxes that filled the space from front to rear and are about 2 inches below the top of the locker. I also have fat sacs that lie beside each one, and being totally new to boats I thought that these were add ons and the black boxes were ballast tanks since they matched side to side. I had to fix my blower ducts today so I pulled the side panels and started moving things around and lifted the sacks out, then I leaned against the tanks for support and it shifted. Long story short I unbolted it and it's a sub-box! Freaking huge, no wonder I couldn't get the boat to list to surf! Measured the bags and they're 400lbs but couldn't fill but maybe halfway!

I pulled the port side out for more room. Will this affect the opposite side sub performance?

Bozboat

oh, given the size of that thing, if you pulled the port side sub box out, the boat will probably spin slowly to the right with the stereo on.
