Lake lice can be fatal.

I thought this weekend was bad when I saw a boater yelling at 3 jet skiers to stay the required 100 feet away from his boat. At the same time one of them idled to within 10 feet of my boat, while we were out in the middle of a canyon. She clearly didn't realize they don't steer worth a crap off throttle, yet is passing super close to me for no reason. This incident in Nebraska is horrible.

Personal responsibilty....if you're operting/driving the whatever boat/PWC/etc... then you are responsible..sad but looks like stupid is gonna hurt for years for this young man. Everyone lost in the deal...if the young man knew how to handle/drive/steer the PWC good chance the accident could have been avoided.

I don't care if you're in a ski boat, a pwc, a kayak, or even just a guy in a life jacket, stay the hell away from my boat. My "personal (boat) bubble" is at least 100 feet. Get in my personal bubble and you'll hear me bark.

This weekend there were two pwc's playing in our wake as we skied and inner tubed....if my kid had fallen off the inner tube there's some chance these idiots would have run them over. They refused to heed my middle finger wave off so we just shut 'er down and sat until they fvcked off. As they drove away I couldn't help but notice that their chosen path seemed to resemble a completely random series of crazy turns and zags, and acceleration/deceleration. Because of this radical choice of direction and speed it was obviously difficult for other boaters to avoid them. They really needed about a half mile radius around them of clear to maintain safety for other folks on the lake but, of course, that's exactly what they don't want. It's f'ing crazy. People are dying because of this behavior. Why is there always some idiot messing it up for everyone else?

On our local lake here in OK City, there is a relatively shallow area that is just for them. It makes It nice. We each have our own areas. More cities and authorities should set this type of thing up at all lakes over the country.
