Plug Question

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I just noticed while I was under my boat, 2012 VLX, I have 2 threaded plugs just a little back and on both sides of the prop shaft. I looked up them and they both have nothing in them. I pushed up a screw driver a little and it bottoms out but I doesn't feel like metal. I have had the boat out a few times and at the end of the day when I pull the plug in the center I have water up to about my wrist. Is this anything I need to be concerned about?

Thanks

From under the boat, the ballast pumps are located where you are describing. THere is one on each side, about even where the prop shaft exits the boat and there should be more up front for the center and rear ballast tanks.

You are sticking a screwdriver into your ballast pump is what I guess.

Thanks, I was very gentle while I "probed" around. I see you are from St. George, my brother lives in South Ogden and is a Deputy in Morgan County.

Nice country down there.
