Fuel shut-off hatch cover

Maybe someone can assist me, I've recently purchased a 2000 Sportster LX and it was missing the circular shaped fuel shut-off hatch cover located on the rear deck of the boat. I've managed to contact 5 dealers in Canada and have been met with negative results locating such a part. Any suggestions?

A pic would help as to where this part is located and what it looks like. Are you talking about a gas fill cap?
