Heater

Recommended Posts

My buddies 2004 LSV that we do most of our winter skiing in because of the full canvas top he had made for it is having a strange problem with the heater. At idle it only blows cold air but when you are cruising the air turns warm? The temp gage stays at the normal temp (around 160) so I would think that there is plenty of warm water to circulate thru the heater core.

Could the outlet that goes from the motor to the core be hooked up in the wrong place?

In my old Supra the heater blows nice warm air as soon as the motor warms up, just like a car system.

Foil-n, that's normal unless the optional setup was done to allow heat when at idle speed. There is a big thread with pictures on this subject around here somewhere. Do a search, you should find it. If I get a chance i'll see if I can find it and post it here for you.
