Broken manual wedge

I was surfing and my wedge broke seems to happen alot from what I have read :( I have a 06 vlx should I put a floating wedge on my boat or power or stick with the manual one it came with and where's the best place to find one ???? Please help if someone has changed there's and want to sell there original one lets me know!

Mine did the same, you can drill out the broke out the broke off screws and retap the holes. They are 5/16. The bracket can be put in a vice and bent back straight. Put you some new stainless screws in and your good to go. I do plan on changing the stainless screws out every year now as a preventive maintenance. Do a search on here. It is a pretty common occurrance and many people do the same as I did. The crew is awesome. Without them, I probably would have just trashed mine and bought a new one. If you don't have the tools to tap and equipment to get it bent back, you can take it to a local machine shop and they will probably fix you up for less than $100.
