towing a VLX with an LXI trailer

Friend is looking at a 21' VLX but it has no trailer. Can he use my tandem LXI trailer to get it here? I looked at pictures of both and the axle locations seem pretty close if not the same.

Thanks,

SD

I wouldn't recommend it. While the tandem will help, the VLX is a foot longer and all the weight is hanging off the back of the trailer, along with the fact that the VLX is quite a bit wider. It will likely be sitting on the fenders, if the tracking fin doesn't hit one of your cross members or axles first.

I thought the diff in length was 6" or less. When I compared the axle offset I didn't really notice a difference.

The width on the otherhand is another factor. Anyone have a vlx trailer handy they can measure the distance between fenders?
