Ronix Cortez question

I'm trying to decide between the Cortez and a broadcast- I'm wondering if the cortez has removable fins like the broadcast or if they are fixed

I have the Cortez and my buddy has the Broadcast. Fins are removable on both boards. I highly recommend the Broadcast. My skill level very quickly out grew the Cortez but we still love the Broadcast. Cortez in my opinion is just too buoyant and not as maneuverable. It's a like riding a big piece of plywood. I'm 5'7 160. If your a lot bigger than this advice is probably not as relevant as I have all the "big boys" who surf on my boat ride the Cortez.

Go with the Cortez if you're bigger. I'm 6'4" and 205 and I like the Cortez a lot. If you're 5'9 and 165 or smaller go Broadcast.

we have a Cortez and I'll chime in on one thing that hasn't been said - the Cortez is a great board for all riders on our crew - we can all ride it and it's only one board so we have room for the rest of the toys in the racks - also FWIW - the Cortez fits in our standard board rack. I can totally appreciate the comments about riding the plywood though...
