Integrating a jabsco pump.

My buddy gave me a jabsco ballast puppy and it's been begging me to get installed all summer.

So I mounted it above the v-drive

Then used the double throw switch on the right hand side of the steering wheel.

I ran a set of 12ga wires to the pump and tucked them into the existing wire loom.

Still need to get mls labeled switch cover to make it complete.

The comparison between the fly high ports "3/4" (.5"ID) "1" (.75") and the 1" (.9") flow-rite through hull used in my bag.

Marked up and ready to go. I traced the inside diameter of the clamping ring.

I cut the outside of the trace ring and with the natural stretching ability of the material It was enough to slide the fitting through.

I cleaned both surfaces with carb cleaner. Then put a layer of silicone on the fittings flange and pushed it through.

I out a layer of silicone on the outside of the bag before clamping it all down.

I will try it out in the morning and maybe time it to see how much time I actually save with the jabsco added.

It was scary cutting into my precious bag but it actually went fairly painlessly.

I wanted faster fill and drain and already put in 1200 fill with 1 1/8 with quick connects. So now to adding jabsco's :-)

With as easy as this was I wonder if we could get flow-rite to modify one of their valves to hold our bags pressure and use gravity to drain our bags.

After two weekends on the water it doesn't leak. It fills and empties sooo much faster now. My fill aerator is a rule 1100(1") and the drain is a attwood 800 (3/4"). The fill fills faster then the belly bag stock and the drain is about the same time. Time to replace the aerators with another impellar and then have the system perfect. Maybe veen a gravity drain system.
