Boat Log

When we bought our boat, I decided to keep a log of all our trips, hours, maintenance, major upgrades, etc. I bought a hard cover spiral bound notebook and have been keeping it current for 4 years.

This has been a fun "project" and a few times I have gone back and read some of the entries. I list where we went, who was along, any special info, and other info. I keep track of the number of trips per year and annual hours.

For anyone with kids, this could be a cool project and you could record their "firsts" to go back to later. My book is about 5" x 7" so easy to fit in the glovebox.

I love this idea! Thanks for sharing. I have a hard cover log for the Bu but we just keep detailed maintenance records in it. I am going to have to start logging trip details too for the kids to look back on. I could see this getting away from me though and becoming a full blown scrap book maintained by the wifey.

Really useful for tracking maintenance. Been keeping on board log for 12 years. I hesitate to think of the total amounts spent.
