2005 vlx bow ballast

Does any one know of an easy way to get to the bow ballast hoses?

Pop bags full of old tire lead. I picked up 8 bags, ended up around 40 lbs each. I can put them pretty much anywhere I need them. I might have $70 tied up in them all.

Now days the trick is finding a shop that will give them up. Recyclers pay for it. And most big name brand shops are required to log it. I found a local shop & the owner happened to be a Moomba owner. After he gave me like 2 buckets full of it, he bought bags for himself & a few of his buddies & made ballast for all their boats.

Other guys have used shot from a gun range. As I recall they are made of steel though, which will rust. So you have to seal your bags up good.
