Battery maintainer with battery switch

slap

Recommended Posts

I have a Blue Sea battery switch (does the same thing as the Perko that so many on this forum revere). My primary battery is a deep cycle, and my secondary is [marketed] just for starting. While the boat is running I usually remember to turn the switch to "1&2" so that the alternator provides a charge to both batteries, and when I'm floating and listening to tunes I switch to the deep cycle.

Anyway, can I hook a battery maintainer to the switch and have it charge/maintain both batteries at once? If not, what's the easiest way to maintain both batteries during winter storage (preferably on board via an extension cord, as unwiring and hauling out those heavy bastards is work I wouldn't mind avoiding)?
