General Performance and Maint info needed

I just bought a new to me 2002 Sunscape 23LSV with the Hammerhead engine. This model year the hammerhead was still a 5.7L and it has a 13.5x17 4 blade prop that is original to the boat. It only had 96 hours on it when I bought it 6 weeks ago and I've put 10 on it since then. My question is regarding the rpm range/max for this engine and what should it top out at. The boat seems sluggish and I think it's time for the fuel filters to be changed, and after reading the other topics here, the pump screen. How many filters are there and does anyone have the part numbers if they are available at Napa?

That's a pretty steep prop for a 23 footer. Factory props even on VTXs are more shallow than that (16" pitch). 95% chance you have an inline filter and one on the engine but I'm not positive. you do not have an intank filter which is a good thing for maintenance purposes.

I found a post from last year and Pistol Pete had the part numbers. Thanks! Now, about that RPM range......

Yes, that's what I was looking for. The manual states 4600-5200 Rpm at Wide Open Throttle. Thanks! Now I need to check on the other maintenance items and hopefully I get back on the water.

Are there any issues with using automotive grade Distributor Cap and Rotor? I was going to use MSD 8426 cap and 8427 Rotor. The MSD stuff has brass contacts.
