California emmisions standards Ultra Low Emmision

I recently bought an 07 VLX from a dealer in Idaho. The boat was a bank repo from California. I live in Colorado. It has the Indmar Monsoon 350, but also has some emmisions equipment on the engine because the boat was owned in California. Couple of questions.

1. is Ultra Low Emmisions standard on all Malibu boats or as the sticker implies "California"?

2. will I be able to increase my horespower and overall preformance if I have it removed?

3. Will it damage any components if I have it removed?

Thanks

I don't work for Malibu but, I think all of the boats after a certain year were deemed "ultra low emissions". The fact that it mentions CA on the sticker might just be b'c the boat was probably produced in CA. I could be wrong.

As far as removing the "emissions" system to gain HP, exactly what components would you remove? You don't even know what's on the engine that is making it "ultra low".

There's nothing you can remove. I believe it just means that it meets a standard. The emissions equipment would be the etx cats and a closed loop fuel system. Neither of which limit horsepower anyway.
