OJ equivalent of ACME 1235?

hey folks,

I'm looking to upgrade props. For me, the ACME 1235 looks like the best fit. The caveat, I have a lead on OJ props.

Can you guys fill me in on what a good equivalent is from OJ to the ACME 1235?

In case you're wondering, here are my specs-

Wakeboard

2004 LSV with Hammerhead

550 in each locker

middle and front tanks full

no Wedge

Surf

Same as above, except locker on opposite side empty

1300 lb on seats on surf side

Wedge down

There isn't an exact equivalent. (1235 is 14.5 x 14.25) 475 and fusion are 14.25 x 14.5, which will have less hole shot (less surface area, higher pitch).

OJ 464/466/468 is a little lower (less cup on lower #, more cup on higher), but slightly smaller diameter (14.25 x 14) <--- just guessing this is the prop I'd think would give the closest performance to 1235

Acme 1273 may be another alternative for you. From my research, I think a lot of people that run the 1235 might be happier with the 1273, it's just not as well known of a prop.

Fair enough, is there a near equivalent to the 1273 from OJ?

probably the 475, which has smaller diameter by a quarter inch, and longer pitch by a quarter inch.

If you are presently running the 537, any of these choices is going to give you a ton more holeshot.

I went from the 537 to the 475 and loved it. It tows well with A LOT of weight...like 3-4k plus so it will probably be fine for you.The only time it has really "drug" is during a photoshoot with some local guys were we literally had the boat at it's absolute limits...barely on plane and scooping the bow everytime coming off plane.

Call Eric at OJ as he has a perfect prop made for the Hammerhead motor. Can not recall the number off the top of my head but he will definitely know what is the best prop for your needs.
