Lost diamond plate on trailer

A piece of diamond plate fell off our extreme trailer. The diamond plate is glued on so I suspect it fell of at the ramp when we dunked it in the water after sitting in the 100 degree sun.

No biggie I can get this fixed.... I just wanted to point it out so y'all could put a pop rivet in yours so you don't lose them. That's what I'm going to do.

Yea, I've had it happen on mine too. I stripped the paint off, repainted & stuck it down with Liquid Nails. Been a few years without any issues.

Also had new pieces cut for the top of the fenders where you step on it. Really made a difference. It's called 5 bar diamond plate. Cost me less than $50.

Looks good bill! I took the lazy approach.... Called extreme and the are shipping one to my door. That way I don't have to track it down and find a shop that will cut it for me.

I found a spray on bed liner in a can that matches very well ( you would be surprised how well). Any way I am contemplating shooting the whole fender with it. Get this... I spent some time buffing and waxing he scratches off of the fenders.... That same week end before I could say anything my friend (almost always a good guy to have around) threw a sand bag on the right fender for a sec then slid it off. So ya my fenders dont look that great.

We just took off the fenders and had them rino- lined. One of the best things we have done, I just use the tire cleaner on them and then the wet look stuff. The little kids don't fall (or me:)

I ride with a guy who has an 08 VTX. He had his trailer Linexed when he first got it. Still looks really good. Cost him $350.

My trailer spends a lot of time sitting in the sun with no boat on it. I've already rebuilt the bunks. Even the guide pads have been replaced 3 or 4 times. The paint is starting to fade too. I'm debating on doing the same thing. Maybe next summer I'll strip the whole thing & have it sprayed with bedliner.

I took my fenders off this spring, sanded them down and had them line-x'd. Really happy with how they look and that I don't have to worry about where people step or set things on them.

I'd like to see some pictures of the rhino lined fenders. My inside carpeted wooden "thingies" (fender skirts?) are in need of replacement and I'm researching options now. Coating the fenders at the same time might change my approach.

how much was a new plate from extreem?

It's called 5 bar diamond plate. And you certainly don't need to go back to Extreme for it. It should be available at most any local metal supply house. I paid under $50 for the two fender pieces, cut to size.
