2005 VLX 630 hours engine question

my 2005 VLX runs great and pulls a rider well with upto 5 people, but anymore than that it seems to take forever to get up to any speed. I have over 600 hours on it and it smokes some white smoke when wakesurfing. Should i rebuild the engine or does it have plenty of life still in her with over 600 hours? any comments would be great... THANKS!!!

600 hrs shouldn't be a big deal on that engine if it's being taken care of. It should go for 3 or 4 times that easily. I'd do a compression & leak down test on it. Tune it up with new plugs & wires. Sounds like there could be a problem in one of the heads.... valves or ???
