Extreme Trailer problem / situation?

Recommended Posts

Hey crew,

Left home @05:15 this morning for a round of golf......was running a little late. Truck was parked in front of boat. I un hooked & removed hitch after last nights session. Turns out my beautiful little 3 yr old, hooked the brake away cable back up to my license plate or plastic around bumper. Ripped plate off the back of truck & tripped brake cable (can tell it's not in original position) Is this something you can fix yourself? Or should I be calling dealer for help. Figured I try the knowledgable crew first.

Daughter was a little quite when asked if she played with cable.....eventually said yes, & I used it as a thanks for being honest moment!

On my '03 Extreme trailer there's a hole on the bottom-side of the tongue piece that you can fit a heavy screwdriver through to push/pry back the braking mechanism that is pulled forward when that cable is pulled. I'd say push the mechanism back and try it out.
