fat sac recommendations

Needing to "Weight My Ride" - 06 V-Ride

Any advice on the best brands of fat sacs?

Durability? Ease of use? Non-spilling?

Fastest pump?

I've seen some good reviews on the Fly High Pro-X V-drive sacs, and the 1200 Tsunami.

Anyone have any other recommendations?

Thanks!

Matt

thanks all for the recs.

i just picked some up at the local shop here in austin $199 for the pair of vdrive sacs and $99 for the Tsunami pump.

cheapest i found online was 195 and 95 so figured it was best to support the local shop (especially after shipping costs are thrown in to the online purchase).

hope to post some pics soon!

Looks like the ProX are the hands down favorite. But does anyone have experience with these Launch Pad coverless bags: v-drive bags

They advertise a new valve and pump connection system that is leakproof. Just wondering if it is any good. Also wondering on quality of the bag. Looks to be about 50 lbs lighter than the equivalent ProX.

I assume you got the "uber" pump? I too was ready to order the launch pad v-drive pair, a ski locker sac, and a pump. Then I saw this post.

Why is that?

They would be hard to connect and disconnect at times...it might just be me...but was frustrated by the end of the summer....

I've got those, no complaints. Cant really rave about them, they fill, they drain, and all when you want them to(no leaks)

The Tsunami seemed really fast to me - the quick connect was a bit weird - seemed like it wasn't really tightly connected, but no leaks and easy on easy off!

It just took me a while to figure out you were actually supposed to throw the pump in the water!!

Final comment - the tsu pump seemed to fill my 400 bag much faster than the stock ballast on the 06 vride...

What did you think of the actual performance of the Tsunami? Pretty fast?

The Tsunami is FAST pending you don't restrict the flow with your tubing or fittings.

It has a hard time keeping it's prime when you get to the bottom of the bag...

I think that can be said of most aerator pumps, at least to some degree. Keeping prime tends to be the biggest problem.

I forgot to mention to the OP & anyone else looking for the Pro X sacks, check out this thread:

There are some good deals to be had on blems & Dan is great to work with.
