MB Crew Advise pays off. AGAIN

I put on my serious ( I care for our safety ) face last night and approached the subject of new rims. My 40th birthday is the 13th of May so she is buying me

some OWL Goodyear Marathons! I convinced her that the cast aluminum wheels are not designed to support the full weight of the trailer and that some of the folks at MB Crew suggested that a CATASTROPHIC failure could result if we did not replace the rims. Since we will be towing a lot this year, she agreed that it would probably be best. Yahoo.gif

I told her I would shop online for some rims and that I would not go too expensive. Tongue.gif There was never a definition of too expensive.

Since the tires are 80 bucks each, I am sure that I can get away with 125 each for the rims. If anyone has seen any rims that look especially sharp, please post a link.

Your dealer should also be able to order complete tire and rim sets for a pretty reasonable price. I would, at the very least, check with them.

My plan is to wakeboard all day on my 40th.

I can't even remember when I was 31.

...MB Crew suggested that a CATASTROPHIC failure could result if we did not replace the rims...

I thought that term had the right amount of implicit danger. :)

Congrats. Biggrin.gif

Excellent work, Joe! I might have to take a page out of your book for something soon! I don't know what, but I'm sure I'll need it soon. And we all know how long you've lusted after those new rims. . .

Hey, good luck turning 40. Didn't care for it much at the time, but it's over now!

I get the "All you want is more sh%#". Trust me, her plastic never leaves her wallet when it comes to boat things. Except for the Birthday Tires. Now, THAT is an exciting 40th Birthday Gift......

Small victories.

I thought the tower was a birthday gift?

Did you get a double bonus birthday?

......on the flip side of this my wife is want to re-floor the entire upstairs of our house and go on vacation to the beach in a few weeks. Not much I can say since I bought over $4K worth of bike equipment last year.

You know how the trade off works Jesse. The tower was on my nickle.

Shs is springing for the tires. I found some smokin rims too.

I have a great hardwood guy when you get ready. Interest Free Finanacing too if you need it.
