Essential Books for Boatowners...

What books or manuals do you guys consider a necessity. I would like a manual in my library for any possible problem on the boat (electrical, rudder, steering, prop shaft, fiberglass, stereo, bilge, etc...).

I will start with the Clymer Indmar Inboard V8 Manual. It is a fantastic resource, but doesn't cover it all.

Does anyone have experience with this book? It sounds like it is geared more towards larger inboards & sailboats, but it might have some good info on electrical systems, transmission to prop and plumbing.

Boatowner's Mechanical and Electrical Manual: How to Maintain, Repair, and Improve Your Boat's Essential Systems

I would read it when your done, but it does look like there is more information than needed on our boats.

Really, I have learned and am learning more from reading through the maintenance and repair forum on here, than I have anywhere else.

I'm going to bet that doesn't cover my motor, even though it is an Indmar in that year range.

Yup.

When in doubt, ask the crew.
