Perfect Pass Wakeboard Pro or 3-Event Digital Pro?

I'm upgrading my old perfect pass digital pro 6.3 with the new 6.5ng chip with multi line gauge in my 02 sunsetter lxi. When reading the manual I can choose wakeboard pro or 3-event digital pro. We just got the boat last fall and still getting use to the inboard. We use the boat for tubing, recreation skiing, surfing, and maybe wake boarding this coming summer. We would like to set speed for tubing, skiing, and surfing. It would make it a lot easier for my wife to run the boat then. My question is what set up would be better for me wakeboard pro or 3-event digital pro.

Just wakeboard should be fine. you can always do a master reset and unlock the other formats if you started needing a more precise slalom pull (or trick or jump, etc). Using slalom mode for recreational openwater skiing is unnecessarily complicated in digital pro. The slalom mode has many parameters that are confusing and won't effect the pull characteristics without using course magnets etc. However I would recommend using RPM-mode for skiing as opposed to speed which can surge. for wakeboading tubing and surfing youre fine.
